Pink shirt day Stand up to bullying! .. My client asked me yesterday if I would where a pink shirt today. I said sure but I didn’t actually know why I should be. ..... I did some reading on the trusty ole google, and today we wear pink as an anti-bullying campaign. .. Not to go into a long winded story like most people at least once or many many times in our lives we have or will face bullies. And it’s really shitty! It’s really hard on our feeling of self-worth AND it can lead to horrible, devastatingly sad endings .. Honestly, I am no saint. I know I had my moments of being unkind I know that I may have hurt people That is what I want to reflect on today - How I can be better in world where I want people to feel, and for me to feel, like We can be exactly who We are and love ourselves for it! .. Okay! So consistency is hard. .. I feel as though people are always like just do it, and you build a routine. Voilà! Yah okay but life! .. My business has grown about 35% in the last few weeks. I’m very fortunate and grateful for all my clients and opportunities. Since the increase in work, my schedule is now full (small ) and I have fewer hours in the week to keep up with my other work. Like posting on social... .. I want to keep showing up and providing value to all you fantastic women and men. But trying to keep up the consistency of posting, marketing, learning, training, etc to do better and be better is not easy. .. As a trainer I should preach - no excuses! Heck, I am human and I have faults. I recognize that life gets wild in an instant. I am with all hard working women and men who put their heart and souls into their craft. We try our best to do everything we need to do, some days we are successful, other days we are failures. .. If you can relate to this. You are not alone. I’m there with you today, tomorrow, and hopefully two days from now, we will slowly pick ourselves up and continue on the path of becoming our best selves. Working out smarter, not harder. .. I feel like I’ve heard that one before .. The same applies to fitness. It’s not always about killing yourself in a workout. Understanding what you need that day or what would be most beneficial for your success in the weekly routine. ... .. Constant death by fitness will only lead to burn out - that is not sustainable. Oh yah, it can also mess up your cycle. Blah .. Challenging yet attainable! That’s how I build confidence in my clients. .. My client wrote a great testimonial! Rest & Recharge .. Phase #4 - the Menstrual Phase. It can be a hell of a time. Or you could just toottle along without noticing a difference. Good for you! I’m waiting for that day to arrive. .. During this phase, your hormones are at their lowest. And in so, so is your energy level. If you struggle with hormonal imbalances, this is a time when you really feel the effects. Slow. Slow. Slow Preach ... .. Do what your body is telling you what to do!! Be active at listening. Dial into your body awareness. Go on a walk Do light yoga Stretch Meditate and internalize Nap - this is a great time to take a nap. Do not push your body hard with a heavy workout or hard cardio Do not be ashamed or angry if your energy is low Do not ignore your low energy and push through. I got this. - umm not today. .. This is not a time to just Grind it out. This is where men and women differ. Us women need to take a day to recharge.maybe even two days. Men are lucky and they can recharge within a 24hour cycle it takes us a little more time. And that is okay!! (Warning! I’m not saying this is true for every woman or man. I’m talking about general stats. Men and women have different hormonal cycles.) .. I can go on about the Menstrual Phase. And I will talk more about it. The energy fluctuations in 28 days. .. The Infradian Rhythm has four phases in a 28 day cycle. .. Phase 1 - Follicular phase. 7-10 days. Your energy slowly increases after being at its lowest point. It takes a few days but slowly you start feeling more vibrant and your creative juices start flowing.... .. Phase 2 - Ovulatory phase. 3-4 days. Your energy peaks. You are flying high! You can go go go forever. .. Phase 3 - Luteal phase. 10-14 days. The longest phase in the cycle. You are still feeling the highs of the elevated energy but halfway through those days, you start to slow down. Focusing on tasks and becoming more internal. .. Phase 4 - Menstrual phase. 3-7 days. Rest. Relax. Recharge. Your energy is at its lowest. Slow down and take time for your self. Be with yourself. .. Be mindful of where you are within your Rhythm. Be kind to yourself.
