Rebel Asylum

I guess I find it a little discouraging to know that the time I try to make an impact on "the music world" and finally expressing the melodies going through my head, I am doing it at a time when access to ones music is so easy that essentially no money can be made. As well my collaborator is 1000 miles away and very difficult to maintain contact with. I have to admit that Dave made it easy to create songs with his guitar work and studio savvy. Not sure which way to go accept ...that I will simply continue to create on my own. It seems to come in brief intervals that I am pumped about music though. I have to say as well that I want to be able to write better songs than the ones Ive done so far. All Ive done is write melodies that are only along the lines of a whole bunch of stuff already created in the 80's. Anyway Im sure at some point i will feel the fever again. See more

it is difficult being a song writer these days to receive any recognition, let alone a living from it. To easy for others to download ones music for free. I think it would have been a better result had my little stint of inspiration happened 20 years ago!
