This years theme for World Hepatitis Day is finding the missing million! It is estimated that 9 in 10 people living with viral hepatitis do not know it. Undiagnosed hepatitis can cause liver damage, liver failure or liver cancer which can be deadly. RECAP is available for easy access to rapid hepatitis C testing. We offer on the spot point of care testing with antibody results in 20 minutes. Different options for confirmation testing including Dried Blood Spot Testing are a...vailable. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic our outreach testing is on hold - but that won't stop us. July 28th is World Hepatitis Day! In 2015, 195 countries signed on to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. One of these goals is to eliminate Hepatitis C by 2030. This means treating 80% of all known cases and finding and diagnosing the unknown. This week we are going to be sharing information on Hepatitis C testing, care and treatment for community members, people at risk or those who are positive. ...
