It ca...rries an extensive range of signals from digestive system and organs to the brain and vice versa. Somatic Components: Sensations felt on the skin or in the muscles Visceral components: Sensations felt in the organs of the body. Having a higher vagal tone means that your body can relax faster after stress and allows your body to grow, repair, and restore itself. That's why Vagus Nerve stimulation may be a great way to improving your overall health. Trauma causes cell danger response through the Vagus Nerve. The Vagus Nerve communicates stress to the brain in a domino effect of cellular communication. In order to feel good and happy, we need to focus on the stimulation of the ventral part of the Vagus Nerve. Anything that raises the heart rate variability increases the vagal tone. The Vagus Nerve controls or contributes the following: - Breathing by communicating with the lungs - Controlling your heart rate - keeping your blood pressure level stable - Decreasing inflammation by sending anti-inflammatory signal - Activates your immune response - Allows your gut and brain to communicate which is where those "gut feelings come from" - Helps you relax and stay calm so it's easier to deal with anxiety and/or stress. Some ways to stimulate the Vagus Nerve: - Trauma Sensitive Meditation - Trauma Sensitive Yoga, - Singing/Gargling - Movement such as walking, sprints, exercise - Social Connection: Laughing, Bonding, Sharing - Breathing Exercises What you heal in yourself, you heal in your family and ancestral lineage. Reiki By nature Reiki is a gentle, non-evasive, energy based, healing modality. It can either be administered through various hand positions using a light, non-...evasive touch or a hands-off method hovering just over the body. Reiki is complimentary in conjunction with traditional medicines when administered properly and proper assessment of the client is taken. Even though there are many forms of Reiki, it is highly recommended that it is administered through the purest connection, directly from God source. For Practitioners A pre-consultation with the client will help you assess which hand technique is better suited for the client. A pre-consultation with the client beforehand is advised and recommended so that the practitioner is aware of any underlying mental issues or traumas the client may have due to past traumatic childhood/ adult experiences or traumas seeded in their ancestral lineage. When treating a client who has been diagnosed with a mental illness or has expressed going through a traumatic event in their past, it is important that we take note of their triggers and pain pockets so that we can be trauma sensitive to their pain bodies, needs and their boundaries. The number one goal is to make them feel safe and comfortable in their Reiki session. Examples of accommodation might be a non-touch session (burn victims, sexually abused clients), or they may want to keep their eyes opened throughout their session (due to anxiety), or that they would prefer to be in a chair. What ever the desire is, it is important to listen and build that trust between you and the client. Universal knowing for practitioners, students and clients On a spiritual note, unfortunately, Reiki has almost become a trend in the New Age and Spiritual community and the sacredness and purity of the healing modality has been fading. Practitioners/teachers are not aware of what realms and entities they are connecting to thus giving lower frequency/ false light guides the opening to step in and pass on attachments through the practitioner in a healing session or the teacher through the attunement part of the course. As a practitioner/teacher it is imperative to be healing your own pain bodies and doing your own inner healing/shadow work so that you are not led astray and connecting to false light teachers/guides in the physical and astral realms. Be aware of what is guiding you and being administered through you!
