We have a long overdue thank you to express to Fran Larsen. Fran was the volunteer coordinator of The Dental Access Fund that operated for 19 years! The DAF relied 100% on donations from the community to operate the volunteer program under the umbrella of Trail FAIR Society. Since 2001 $305, 000 was raised and supported 1310 clients in the Kootenay Boundary! Unfortunately, the DAF had to close it's doors in March 2020. We are so grateful for the years that we were able to work in conjunction with them, providing dental care to those who may not have been able to obtain it otherwise. Thank you so much Fran for your service to the community, you improved so many people's lives in those 19 years!

We are back to business this Monday May. 25! We have limited hours and will only be working out of our Trail location for the next few weeks as we work through our back log of patients! Things are going to be a little different patients are asked to come at the exact time they are booked and will be asked to use hand sanitizer upon entry and wear a mask if you don’t have one we will provide you with one! We will also be doing a pre Heath assessment the day before your appointment. We are very excited to see all our awesome patients again, we sure miss everyone! Meet our team! Ashtyn is an intern denturist that has been working through his internship with us since May 2019. Ashtyn studied at NAIT in Edmonton for 2 years and will be with us for a year in total also. He is from Saskatoon where his father is also a denturist. In his spare time Ashtyn enjoys hanging out with his dog, Molly, and snowboarding! As part of his internship, Ashtyn provides premium quality dentures for our standard price. In the spirit of the holidays we are collecting donations for the food bank in both of our clinics. We are accepting non-perishable food items, hygiene products (diapers, toilet paper, feminine) or cash donations which we will be giving to Trail's Fair Society to distribute. As a thank you to all who contribute, you will be entered into a draw to win a $20 gift certificate to Tailout Brewing in Castlegar or Trail's Beer Refinery! Anyone is welcome to enter, you don't have to be a patient!

A couple of weeks ago, we attended a digital denture symposium in Kelowna. Record Ridge's own Leticia and Kate presented at the event, and educated our peers on how we have implemented digital dentures in our clinic! We couldn't be more proud of these two for the excellent job they did!
