Recovery Day Lethbridge 20.11.2020

Emergency Response As our city, province, and nation responds to the COVID-19 crisis, Streets Alive Mission is doing everything possible to ensure the well-bein...g of our clients, donors, volunteers, and staff. We are monitoring the situation closely acting on the advice of Alberta Health Services and other public officials. The people we serve are among the population most highly at risk of infectious disease every day. Most have pre-existing health conditions with compromised immune systems, limited access to medical care, and poor nutrition. Therefore, Streets Alive Mission, its executive staff and Board of Directors have determined that we will continue to offer all services, with the exception of Foot Friday (foot health program) as we continue to serve this vulnerable population. We are taking precautionary measures to protect both our community and the public at large by: - Continuing to provide essential services such as food, clean clothing, hygiene supplies, and sanitation items to people in need; - Increasing sanitation and hygiene measures at all our locations; - Implementing safety protocols in place to prevent the spread of disease as recommended by Alberta Health Services. HOW CAN YOU HELP? - Please pray for our clients, our staff, our volunteers, and our civic, provincial, and federal leaders. - Please give an Emergency Response Fund has been activated (https://streetsalive.ca/emergency-response-fund-donations/). -- Streets Alive Mission’s resources are stretched to the limits as we work to cope with increased demand on our services as other agencies are continuing to close. - Please continue to drop off essential items for our clients. --Our drop-off zone is located at our back door and is accessible by a buzzer where you will be met by staff. ITEMS ALWAYS IN NEED - Men’s jeans: waist sizes 32 36 - Shoes: sizes 9 12 - Hoodies - Backpacks - Canned meats, pasta, beans - Peanut butter - Please take advantage of our online giving portals at https://streetsalive.ca/emergency-response-fund-donations/ or call the Mission during business hours to speak to our staff. We thank you for continuing to help us help the most vulnerable in our community!
