Time outdoors has been shown to increase energy levels! Whether it’s the vitamin D, or increased oxygen, having more energy at a time when we’re inclined to hibernate is a great thing. So, if you’re feeling sluggish, a little time outside might be what you need. #StayActiveStayHealthy #EverythingGetsBetter
When the weather starts to get colder, it can be harder to motivate yourself to get physically active, especially for those of us who like to be active outdoors. Taking a walk or going for a run might be challenging in freezing temperatures, however, there are lots of ways you can get active indoors, like: stairclimbing, weight training, yoga or online fitness classes. You could even put some of these items on your Christmas gift wish list! #StayActiveStayHealthy #EverythingGetsBetter
A further progression from last week’s video is the ‘short-stop’ squat; using a band for more resistance; or add a few weights! Always wanting to progress to make it a little more difficult. A very effective method to strengthen our legs. https://bit.ly/3niYngq #ActiveAging

This includes no more than 3 hours of recreational screen time per day and breaking up long periods of sitting as often as possible! For more information on the guidelines, check out this infographic! #WholeDayMatters
