Message from the CEO and Chief Nursing Executive to the Red Lake & Ear Falls Communities: As COVID continues to rise significantly in our region, the actions w...e each take, over the holiday season, are critical. Our reality is that Red Lake and Ear Falls’ very capable healthcare teams are providing care in a remote community. If you or a loved one are sick with COVID, especially during an outbreak, it could become difficult for us to provide the healthcare you expect and deserve. In addition to handwashing, masking, maintaining physical distance, and following Public Health guidelines, please consider the following: Are you avoiding indoor gatherings with people from outside your home? Are you avoiding having out-of-town guests? Are you avoiding large outdoor gatherings? If you are coming home from any high-risk communities, are you self-isolating? If you are an employer, are you ensuring that your employees coming from high-risk areas have self-isolated, are wearing the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) or are following appropriate Public Health guidelines? If you are having symptoms, are you staying home, self-isolating, and coming out only for a COVID test? For the safety of your loved ones, friends and neighbours, if your answer is no to any of the above, please consider adjusting your actions to turn them to a yes. Your actions matter! We acknowledge that this is going to be a very different holiday season. We urge you take this opportunity to be creative in finding ways to safely celebrate and keep our community safe, so we can all come out of this together. Please note that starting Dec 1st, due to staff shortages and the demands of the COVID Centre, the clinic will be closing for lunch from 12:00pm to 1:00pm.

If you have an in-person appointment at the clinic AND have travelled outside of Red Lake/Ear Falls, please call 727-2751 before coming to your appointment. Patients with travel to high risk areas will be asked to reschedule their appointment or conduct it by phone. This is in accordance with the travel recommendations from the NWHU https://www.nwhu.on.ca/covid19/Pages/travel.aspx
