RedBayLodge.com We had some questions today regarding the source of our Food here in the woods. To completely address that in the open: Once per week I (Mat) drive to a warehouse on the outskirts of Toronto to get supplies from a commercial food distributor. This is not open to the public and provides a wide variety not otherwise... available in our region. I take a number of precautions, including sanitizing multiple times throughout, wearing a mask, not stopping anywhere elsewhere or even getting gas. The warehouse is not locked down as it is part of essential services supply chain. Our Beef now comes from West Grey Premium Beef and we get other amazing items from local suppliers along with fish that is brought fresh from a different warehouse in the GTA. It was implied that people may be surprised or shocked to hear this. Let me be clear by saying that we care immensely and take EVERY precaution we can to prevent the spread of COVID-19. This includes closing the storefront we previously operated in Toronto this past March in order to further isolate and protect our community. We will answer questions directly and are happy to share with our community the steps we internally and externally take to support all health measures. Happy New Years ya animals!!! From 11-3 on Saturday & Sunday our great room is set up with a limited number of vendor-less tables, allowing shoppers to stroll through one group at a time. We will be holding waiting groups outside the shopping area at the base of the great room, maintaining total numbers in the lodge & restaurant under 50 people.
