MS affects more than just the person living with it. As a caregiver, you also take on a level of responsibility. People often ask, 'How is your wife doing?' bu...t rarely ask, 'How are you doing?' It can be difficult when people dont always think about asking the caregiver, - Grant Sanderson, caregiver. At some point in their lives, nearly half of Canadians aged 15 and older have provided care to a family member or friend with a long-term health condition, disability, or aging need. For Grant, he took on this role when his wife Libby was diagnosed with MS in 1990. In our latest blog post, we sat down with Grant and Libby to learn about how they adapted to Libby's conditions, the obstacles Grant has faced as a caregiver, and how the two of them have persevered through the challenges of the disease. Don't feel bad...most Albertans don't know this and those that work in seniors care and wellness don't either! It's all in our "What We Heard Report." It's time to #CutTheClutter and use terminology Albertans understand. #ItsTime to change how we approach seniors supports and wellness. https://www.ascha.com/advocacy_cuttheclutter.php See more
