Have Gavel, Will Travel Interest has been expressed in our club's encouragement to members to speak outside the club. Whenever someone does this, he/she gets credit on our travelling gavel.

TABLE TOPICS RULED at the February 4 meeting of Sunrise Toastmasters. Our TTM provided a magazine picture and a question and off we went - good stuff. We welcom...ed Pam Pikkert back . . . and welcome anyone who's interested in improving communication and leadership skills. I'll let the pictures do the talking.

"Grok" (to understand something intuitively or by empathy)was the Word of the Day for Sunrise Toastmasters on Tuesday, January 28. Who comes up with words like ...that: Mike Hambly, our Grammarian. Buzz Brown was Toastmaster of the Day, Ben Arthur was Best Speaker, Best Table Topic went to our newest member, Leah Mackenzie, and Best Table Topic was awarded to a member who wishes to avoid the paparazzi so we won't mention her name or show her picture. Kandice Miller graced our stage with a speech on public relations. See more
