February 11 - Only 10 members and one guest . . . but quantity doesn't mean quality. Preparation pays and paid big time for Toastmaster Mike Hambly. What a plea...sure to see his spin on a Valentine theme - Love in the Year 2045! Humourist Buzz delivered his "story" joke by adding his own little tweaks and truly exemplified the many attributes of a well-told jest. Members stepped up to fill dual roles and on we rolled. "Grok" (to understand something intuitively or by empathy)was the Word of the Day for Sunrise Toastmasters on Tuesday, January 28. Who comes up with words like ...that: Mike Hambly, our Grammarian. Buzz Brown was Toastmaster of the Day, Ben Arthur was Best Speaker, Best Table Topic went to our newest member, Leah Mackenzie, and Best Table Topic was awarded to a member who wishes to avoid the paparazzi so we won't mention her name or show her picture. Kandice Miller graced our stage with a speech on public relations. See more
