Host parents- Please go over the content of this post with your international students. We really need your help with this. To all International Students, ... As you know, we are thrilled to provide you with quality activities as part of our International Student Program. We enjoy organizing these activities for you as we know it enriches your Canadian Experience and it allows us to get to know you better. As you can imagine, there is a lot of work that goes on behind the scenes to make these activities happen. Often, busses need to be booked, tickets purchased, food ordered, well in advance. All we ask is that you follow our reasonable deadlines on informing us of your participation in each activity. Kerry sends out detailed information via a variety of formats (RDPSD email, Facebook, Google Classroom) with links to a google form sign up form for each activity. This allows us to effectively plan the activity. Recently, we have become frustrated with the number of students who have not indicated their participation properly and simply show up for the activity unexpectedly and/or not properly prepared. Ideally, we want to take every student with us but we book these activities based on the responses we receive ahead of time. Expecting us to change our arrangements on-the-fly is simply an unfair expectation. If we can accommodate unexpected participants, we will. However, do not be surprised if you are regrettably turned away if you did not correctly fill out the Google Form we send you or if you are not properly dressed or prepared for that activity. In other words, we really need you to help to keep everything running smoothly. Please read our announcements carefully. Talk about dedication! Kerry Cunningham and Lisa Loeppky spent their last Saturday of Christmas Break taking 40 international students on a hay ride. Everyone managed to stay warm and had a great time. We are now on our way home and should be back around 4:30.

This Friday is the last day of classes in 2019. Reminder that this is a early dismissal day. Make sure to check out the bell schedule to know when your classes are. #ltchs #rdpsd
