Got spring break plans yet? No? Well you are in luck! Introducing CAP at Home! CAP at Home will deliver five days of engaging activities, dynamic presentat...ions, and fun challenges beyond what is done at the local corps/squadron, virtually of course! What's even better is that any cadet in the region can participate in CAP at Home from the comfort of their own home regardless of their geographical location. Two sessions of CAP at Home will happen March 29 to April 2 and from April 5 to April 9, happening over spring breaks. Stay tuned to learn more or ask your chain of command! In-person CAP activities may still happen in select communities as permitted by local public health measures, in addition to CAP at Home.

Hello, Everyone should have received an e-mail from Lt(N) MacGregor with information for our next virtual meeting tomorrow night, Thursday 28 Jan 2021, be sure to check your inboxes and spam folders if you have not seen it. Let us know if you did still don't see it anywhere. Seeing as 28 Jan coincides with Bell Let's Talk Day our focus is to have a more chill Virtual Session. We invite all Cadets to join us in their comfy clothes and log in with their supper/snacks for a bit... of a family dinner chat to check in on everyone. Focus on some positives and relax mentally. The staff will have a bit to restate about Summer Training and the deadlines and if we're lucky we may have a bit more Information to pass along. Please join in and if you're able to before or after our virtual meeting, be sure to send some texts or even make some calls and check up on your friends and family!

INTERESTED IN JOINING? Good day, Are you between the ages of 12-19 and are interested in joining the Sea Cadet Program or are a Parent/Guardian wanting to enroll their child?... Here is some basic information: 1) We are preparing online registration packages and you can request a Package or request any information by e-mailing [email protected]. 2) Currently we will be unable to meet in person until at the least 1 Oct 2020 until the adult staff complete their taskings to ensure a safe but engaging environment can be achieved, such as proper cleaning protocols, adequate sanitization/cleaning stations. 3) We will be able to provide virtual training options in September to provide interaction and our Staff and Cadets can get to know the new members and get an idea of what our program is all about. Our first Virtual meeting will be a staff introduction and a Question and Answer Platform. 4) Masks will be required to be worn by all individuals when we resume in-person meetings and our supply chain will be providing masks with registration. Feel free to bring your own as well. 5) All of us are looking forward to create a fun and exciting program for both old and new Cadets in the safest way possible. We all just have to work together, be patient and understanding while we continually adapt to the constantly evolving rules and regulations. 6) Feel free to send any questions in a PM or to the e-mail address provided above. Hello, Everyone should have received an e-mail that with our in-person stand down, we are missing our 'Participate in Citizenship Activities'. Our goal for Citizenship right now was to create some Christmas letters/cards that we could distribute to those that may not be getting as much of a Christmas due to restrictions. ... So if you are able and have some supplies at home to work on some Letters or Cards to hand in when we return in person, I will take them around where I feel they can brighten another persons day. Feel free to talk a bit about yourself, what it's like to be a Cadet if you want to. Make a few copies so we can reach even more people. We will be looking at a virtual meeting for next week. Check your emails. Thanks, Lt(N) Petch

Today we would like to take a moment to Remember those that have served and are still serving. Who do you Remember on this day? What does Remembrance Day mean to you? Share your stories in the comments! For myself my father served in the Canadian Artillery and his parents served in the Air Force. Along with my family I also keep our past cadets in my mind that have chosen a career in the Military and wish them safety and security during their duties and thank them for their ...service. Although Cadets and Officers are not authorized to attend commemorations in person this year, there are still virtual ways to participate in this important day.
