Throwback to the beginnings of Countdown back in 2016! We’re very grateful and excited for the project to be continuing into 2021-2022 and thought we would share some archived footage and photos over the next few weeks, documenting the project since it’s start. Check out this time lapse video made by Katie Yealland, RDP’s Production Lead, showing some behind the scenes production work on the first Countdown monuments in Eganville, Killaloe, and Pikwakanagan First Nation (2...016)! We gratefully acknowledge project funding from the Ontario Trillium Foundation, operating funding from the Ontario Arts Council and Toronto Arts Council, and additional support from EVA-Renfrew County, without which this work would not be possible. #Countdown #PebbleMosaic #PublicArt [video description: a sped up time lapse video showing Katie and Tristan flipping sections of the pebble mosaics out of their frames, hosing and scrubbing the sand away from their surfaces to reveal the artwork beneath. They do this to many sections of three different mosaics. Instrumental upbeat music plays in the background.]
