When you are with other people, you often lose sight of God's Presence. Your fear of displeasing people puts you in bondage to them, and they become your primary focus. When you realise this has happened, whisper God's Name and bring Him to the forefront of your consciousness where He belongs. As you bask in the blessing of His nearness, His life can flow through you to others. This is abundant life. JOHN 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

Allow God to transform you through time spent alone with Him. As your thoughts centre more and more on God, trust displaces fear and worry. As your trust in God goes up, fear and worry automatically go down. Time spent alone with God also helps you discern what is important and what is not. EPHESIANS 5:15-16 Be very careful, then, how you live - not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.

God's Presence with you is a guaranteed promise, but that does not necessarily change your feelings. When you forget that He is with you, you may experience loneliness or fear. It is through awareness of God's Presence that Peace displaces negative feelings. Practice the discipline of walking consciously with God through each day. HEBREWS 13:5 Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never wi...ll I forsake you." PALM 29:11 The Lord gives strength to his people; the Lord blesses his people with peace.

You are safe and secure in God's Presence - a fact totally independent of your feelings. Remember, you are on your way to heaven where you will see God face-to-face, and your joy will be off the charts by any earthly standard. Even now, you are never separated from God; see Him through the eyes of faith. 1 CORINTHIANS 13:12 Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face-to-face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

The challenge continually before you is to trust God and search for His way through each day. Do not blindly follow your habitual route, or you will miss what He has prepared for you. "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts." - Isaiah 55:8 - 9
