These past two weeks have traditionally been the first weeks back at school. However, this year, for so many, things are different. A fellow OCA member, Camp Manitou, wrote about this transition back to school so eloquently: "As we all begin the new school year, we must remember that the greatest lesson we can teach our children is how to be resilient, adaptive and optimistic in the face of unrelenting challenges. That things don’t always go as we planned or hoped, but that... our humanity and humility rests in our willingness to meet our obstacles with grace and resolve. So here’s to all of us: kids, teachers, parents, business owners, politicians, front line workers, as we ring in this beautiful, but unprecedented, new school year." Wow, what an inspiring group of young men!! #canoe4covid These 6 met at Camp Ahmek last summer and were going to work together again until Covid shut down camps. Instead of letting go they planned a 2000km, 60 day canoe trip across Ontario to raise money for Food Banks Canada. I am so proud to work in an industry that inspires such dedicated, brave and adventurous individuals! #savecanadiancamps
