Good morning. I have been getting a lot of messages re: lunch trucks and Bakery, whether the trucks will be onsite and why is bakery not open. The trucks will not be onsite for at least another week we are closed till mid Hanuary, posting since early Dec. all drivers were to have informed places of this. We are working on securing our new location (yes we will still have downtown location) work needs to be done on trucks, a new menu is being planned and new employees need ...to be hired. Covid numbers are playing a part in this so that we can keep everyone safe. We will look at this next week and make a more informed decision. As you know we are still securing a new building, bigger and better, for our small bakery/,coff shop. We are closed till mid January and in that time working on the future of Reds. We are super stoked and excited, we hope you are too. I need a maker of bread, this person should have hands on experience with making bread from scratch, following my recipes and having the creativity to produce others. As we are artisan it means you need to be able to hand roll bread, buns, subs... which can be harder than it sounds. This position will start training in January We also will need front end staff, position will include making lattes and other special coffees, ice cream , prep for night work.and other front end duties. You need to b able to work on your own with Lil or no supervision. Please only apply if you are out going pleasant (we pride ourselves on customer service. UPDATE!!! We have come to a hard decision but one that has had to be made if Red’s is going to pull thru this. For the next few weeks we are reducing our hours during the day and will close at 1 pm mon to Friday. We are in the bakery at 8 pm thru the night and will remain open thru the night. But closed at 1 pm. ... If you want a delivery contact me by message before 9 am. We are reducing what we produce as there is no one downtown during the day and can not afford the waste, as we pride ourselves on freshness. The trucks will remain on their routes but we ask if you do not want them to keep coming to you, please advise here. We are sad to have to take this step but feel we have no choice. Please stay safe and be kind.

WEATHER UPDATE!!!! WITH ALL THE WEATHER WIND WARNINGS OUT WE ARE MAKING THE CALL TO PULL OUR LUNCH TRUCKS TUESDAY. !!! We will not be taking a chance of losing our power in the middle of making bread or cooking pies etc. As we work through the night to have the trucks on the road this may seem like an early call but we can’t afford the chance. We won’t send our trucks out in stormy weather for the safety of our drivers Sorry if this is inconvenient but we feel it is nec...essary. The bakery will also be closed Tuesday. Why does this have to go so far that the business has to call the police if people refuse to wear a mask in your establishment? Why does anyone think they have the right to bully owners or workers that are following guidelines set out by the government.? We have been abused by people, neighbouring restaurant has been abused and it’s wrong. We can and will offer door service but we ask you stand back at least six feet, if you insist on no mask. It is very hard running a business at this time and I know of ones closing their doors for good due to all of this. We are trying to keep our doors open and operating with less staff, praying this works. We are all in this together and we need to be kind and considerate to each other. Please do not put us in a bad spot and we will try to make your experience at bakery a good one.

REGISTRATION at LOAVES & FISHES to receive a hamper is open NOW though to the first week of December. If you do not pre-registered you can visit the Food Bank on Dec 23rd to pick out your hamper

We are closing early as there is no one downtown We Will be back tomorrow for a few hours during the day. We may have to look at closing the front end store down during this Tuff period, as business has taken a sharp down turn. I hope this is not the course we have to take but may not have a choice. Happy Saturday. For our Muffin fund, We now have superette gift cards for those that need a lil help on groceries. We are open today if you are in town. These cards are for anyone that needs them, senior, families etc. Stay safe and be kind. Our pay it forward coff and a muffin is a huge relief to people that have benefitted from it. Support small business we need you to pull thru. Whether it be your corner grocer, Superette, to the local print shop or your fav bakery. We all need your help.

We all know Christmas is around the corner and this year it looks a lot diff than any other Christmas we have known. We are booking up quick for Christmas catering for offices,shops etc. If you would like our services and trucks to deliver to you let us know as days are getting scarce. Have an awesome weekend. As of today Thursday November 19th ALL PEOPLE THAT COME INTO THE BAKERY MUST WEAR MASKS. If you are eating no mask is required but at all other times. Please help keep us safe and you. You will not be allowed in if you do not have a mask, door service only. You will be served with us wearing masks. Please use the hand sanitizer that is supplied. And keep distanced while waiting outside as we are still only allowing 1 or 2 people in at a time. Please be kind to us as we are trying. Any rudeness you will be asked to leave, we are also under extreme stress.
