ANNOUNCEMENT FOR ALL OF OUR VALUED CLIENTS: Unfortunately, due to the continued spread of COVID-19 and the nature of the business undertaken at the Barbershop, where I cannot feasibly maintain social distancing (despite any extra extensive cleaning measures and forced hand washing for clients I've already been undertaking for over a week), I feel the responsible thing to do is to close the shop as of the end of this week until further notice. Appointments already made for thi...s week will be honoured/maintained. That said, if you are ill, have traveled, or are in a higher risk group, we encourage you to cancel your appointment voluntarily asap. Regardless, some questions will be asked of you upon arrival this week for clarification of the above. Any appointments made for the weeks following this week will be cancelled and those clients will receive notice via email or phone as applicable. I am sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you, but it is up to us to each do our part. Hopefully there will be some financial support for the many individuals and businesses that will incur hardship during the weeks/months ahead. Hey folks, I have some shampoo products from the Salon days I need to unload. 1x Protein shampoos and a 1/2 litre of intense protein treatment. 2x Moisturizing shampoos and a full tub of moisture treatment. SIlver shampoo for grey or blond hair. All $25 each reg $45 + Tophers Beard oils, beard/hair wax all $15 each reg $22 Hand made natural soaps $6 reg $9. I am not closing just not retailing these products anymore.. come get 'em!

Rossland snowpack PSA: I don't usually post what I see in the backcountry but what I saw today freaked me out. I went out to break in a new belt on my sled and ...decided to dig a pit to see what's up. Avoided any and all avalanche terrain and dug a pit at 1650m on a N/E aspect adjacent to a clearcut near Mt. Crowe. Snowpack was 70-85cm and slope 35 degrees. Results were 1 easy tap release on storm snow/rain interface at 15cm. Next column to ground (80cm) one-tap easy release on basal facets. Same results to ground with sheer test. Definitely the most reactive snowpack I've seen in the Rossland Range. Message: heed the warnings and choose easy terrain. I imagine the cold to come will tighten things up but until then use caution! See more

It's been an interesting week in Rosssland, where all 4 seasons of activities are possible. Some people are hiking up the mountains to go skiing, snowboarding a...nd fat biking and others are sticking to the lower elevations to hike, bike and golf. What are you getting up to? Good day there folks, Thu Sept 26 was blocked for an apt but has just been opened. (passed my motorcycle skills test today!! Yeah!!) An important announcement for our valued clients: Every couple of years, we feel the need to completely change our business model (as you know), and the time has come once again to freshen things up! Without delay, our space will be undergoing renovations to convert the Barbershop to a drive-through! Yep, you read that correctly! Drive through haircuts! ... We know how time-pressured you all feel, and we've heard it loud and clear! Soon, you won't even have to depart your vehicle to get your ears raised. I will simply jump into the passenger seat and trim away, creating the consistent masterpieces to which you have all become accustomed, and in half the time! As an added bonus, we will also be adding a Starbucks counter at window #2, so you can get your fresh coffee as you are driving away with your slick new dew! Speaking of your slick new dews, moving forward we'll have to limit haircuts to the ones shown below, and a few other themed ones not shown. We can't wait to see where this goes!

Just letting ya'll know that the Barbershop will be closed Feb 14-15th and Feb 19-22nd. I'll be returning to normal operating hours on February 26th. Its time to ski!
