I have always been an open book when asked why I opened my own location. One year ago this month, our son woke up a very different boy. I won’t get into all the details here as it would be the longest post ever, lol, but he was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease called PANDAS. In short, when he gets sick, his immune system attacks his brain instead of the virus, and it causes chaos in his head. I had to be able to provide for my family, but work my own hours so that our... son would have us at all times and never have to spend time in anyone else’s care. This is what led me to where I am now at my own location. My family is my life, and everything I do, is to provide them with the best life possible. I have to say my husband has been my rock through all of this. Both of our lives have changed drastically in the last year, and we have remained solid through all of it. He has a lot to put up with as me as his wife, lol, I can be a bit stubborn at times These faces are the reason I remain strong every single day. I wanted to take a minute to talk about the whole community over competition saying. I am starting to lose count of how many injectors there are in Ottawa. Behind the scenes, the majority of us are a huge team! We turn to each other for advice, to borrow product when we run out last min and our order isn’t in for another day, we support each other, we go for drinks and dinner, we ask for help, we cheer each other on, and sometimes cry on each others shoulders. This is a... tough, cut throat industry we work in. The pressure to create perfection daily, avoid things like vascular occlusions which can end up in necrosis or even irreversible blindness, compete with pricing and all the while staying professional and following the 2928283 rules we have (maybe that’s a small exaggeration) is immense. I am beyond proud for the massive team of local (and not local) injectors behind me. I appreciate every single one of you and I couldn’t do this job without you.
