We have a couple kids rooms in the works right now, so weve been drawing inspiration from so many fun and cheery photos. This room done by @in.house.design gives us all the happy feels. That Disney kind of feeling Working through these concepts almost feels like going back to your childhood and designing your dream room, cant wait to share more as we begin install in the next few weeks!

Its been a while since weve gotten such beautiful morning light

Alright friends, here is the design package we sent off to our living room giveaway winner! We started with engineered white oak floors and a fresh coat of paint to brighten up the space. We proposed a fireplace with built ins on either side to give the room a focal point and additional storage. To the right of that, a board and baton wall is to be installed to add some interest and texture. And finally, the furniture chosen gives the room a warm, cozy feeling. You know, ...that feeling where you just want to sit around your new fireplace as a family! We kept the furniture neutral and incorporated colour and texture through the accessories. We pulled the shades of green from the local art and paired it with a cozy bed for their sweet pup! Born and raised in Saskatoon SK, I moved to BC in 2010 after visiting a friend and falling in love with the beauty of BC. But I sure do miss a Prairie sunset and good old thunderstorm! When it comes to my personal design style, I love me a good horizontal detail and a full window drape with soft warm whites, contrasting deep navy blues and soft oranges to blush tones. 3. I have two Emerald (May born) babies, Kayden 2 and Raina 1 month and one VERY sassy fur baby. 4. Three words I say constantly: theoretically, common sense, and efficient 5. I love all GOOD design from super modern, clean lines, minimalist decor, strong contrast, and intentional materials to French architecture, ornate trim, tall skinny windows, neutral palette with pops of color, and a feminine frill . . My ideal aesthetic would resemble the colours and textures along the west coast. Muted blues, sandy grey, burnt yellow, and sage green are my favourite colours I find out in nature.
