A blast from the past! These side tables were once my first teaching desk! I knew that one day I was going to repurpose it. Well, 25 years plus later, I’m finally getting around to it. I needed to come up with a plan ! Making this solid oak desk into two side tables was a perfect solution. I was happy to find out that the top of the desk was screwed down making this job a little bit easier other than minimal repairs. I reused the top and cut down the legs to the height I ...needed. I have to be honest, I struggled with this piece not because I couldn’t do the work but because I couldn’t decide where to put them. I finally made a decision and kept them neutral enough that I could possibly switch them to any room in my house. A little bit of light distressing, a hint of dark wax and some new library pulls gave this a nostalgic feel. BTW..the three personalized classroom door name plates represents each decade taught!!! This antique dresser once was used as storage and ...today...it will serve as bathroom vanity in my client’s newly renovated bathroom. The only request my client had was to have as much of the wood grain showing and the rest was left up to me . Gotta love when your clients put trust into your work! Who doesn’t love to DIY!!!! I made these Christmas name tags for next to nothing! These are super simple and a great budget-friendly holiday project. Most of the DIY products can be found at your local dollar store, even including the saw! You can dress these tags up with just about any accent your little heart desires. The best part...they don’t have to be used to only dress up your stockings but also double as name tags for gift labelling! You can catch up on my step by st...ep project in my stories. The process will be saved in my highlights! @upcyclegirl . . . #diynametags #christmasnametags #dollarstoreitems #woodennametags #madebyme #kingstonontario #reflectionsofyoukingston See more

This charming little desk once belonged to my clients’s beloved grandmother. Now, in her possession my client was looking for a new look to complement her decor. The veneer was in desperate repair ...nothing bondo couldn’t fix. The original hardware was sprayed gold, a new library pull was added to the middle drawer and painted in @fusionmineralpaint in Midnight Blue Now, this sweetness is an accent piece in my client’s home. . . .... #upcycled #paintedfurniture #furnitureartist #vintagedesk #deskmakeover #fusionmineralpaint #birdseyehueboutique #customorder #oneofakind #kingstonontario #reflectionsofyoukingston See more
