Recently, I met with a new client and definitely didn't make a good impression with my hair. I had been working in the shop and rushed home for a shower and slapped on some gel in my hair. In my haste, I completely forgot to comb or organize my hair better. The picture tells a story. As most of you know, I'm foremost an artist and this "bad hair day" episode inspired me to create a work of art... actually a series of seven, one bad hair day for every day of the week. When it's finished in a couple of weeks, I'll post it here.

Here, I'm wet cutting some samples with a diamond blade. In the second photo, you can clearly see that rebar is in the bottom half of the sample. This is the proper positioning of the rebar. If it is located anywhere near the center, it becomes useless in terms of providing tensile strength to the countertop.

Here's a look at a three headed monster I use to grind the surface of my countertops. Each grinding wheel is made of diamond encrusted metal segments. Each wheel rotates around its own axis. All three wheels rotate around a central common axis on a planetary gear system. To make a long story short... this thing eats concrete!!!
