Good afternoon. The Red Room and Blue Room drivers will NOT be driving this afternoon or tomorrow; sorry for the inconvenience. The teachers are here if you wish to bring your child in and pick your child up.
Good morning. The Yellow Room Van Driver is still sick today. :(
Good morning. The Yellow Room Driver is still sick. There is still school if you're able to bring your child in and pick your child up. The Green Room Van Driver is no longer employed by us and we are in the process of hiring a new driver. If you're able to bring your child in and pick your child up the teachers are here!
Good Morning Families! Green room has no driver. Yellow room Toby is sick. Blue room has no teachers both are sick. Green and Yellow rooms if you have transportation to and from ELC. You are more than welcome to bring your child in.
Attention Green and Yellow room. Both vans are not running this afternoon. If you can provide transportation to and from school you are more than welcome to bring your child to school.
As we start another week at ELC we reflect on the fact that Saskatchewan had over 500 new Covid cases this weekend. Please be extra cautious if your child is not feeling well, or if someone in your home is sick- do not come to school. We do not want the Saskatchewan Health Authority to close us down. A form will come home this week that we would like filled out and sent back. This form will help us to continue programming even if we are to closed down. We want everything ready so we can keep things going without any downtime. We are so glad our families are sending kids in masks and the kids are doing very well at keeping them on.
So far our orientation visits have been going very well. Parents are sanitizing hands coming in, staying in their classrooms, some are wearing masks, and being very considerate of everyones personal space allowing distance. Keep it up. If all you parents would do us a favour we would really appreciate it. We are trying to encourage the kids to keep space with others so if you can talk to your children about giving thumbs up and waves instead of high 5s and hugs, it would be very helpful.
Starting on Tuesday we begin our first orientation meetings with families. We are also still popping in a few new ones to fill spaces as well. Please be mindful when coming to your appointments over the next 2 weeks. -Sanitize hands upon entry. -go directly into your childs classroom (limit contact with all other staff, parents and children. -do your best to socially distance with staff. ( wear a mask if you choose to)... Teachers will sanitize toys and contact points between each class visit. Thank you for helping us transition to this new normal as we begin our safe open plans.
As parents get ready for preschool we want you all to know that we want as little as possible coming and going from school. Please do not send your child with a backpack daily. If medications need to be sent too and from school we will make an exception. All children can have a pair of indoor shoes to keep at the school and a change of clothes. All we need is these great kids and nothing else.
Filling spots as fast as we can. Still a few openings to go. Its not too late to put your child on the list. Call 306-757-3744. Drivers are dropping off enrollment packages. If you are a returning student or a new student on the list, and your phone number or address has changed please call and let us know.
Started creating lists of children in each classroom. Families will get a call in the next few weeks and enrollment paperwork will be dropped off. We are adding additional cleaning protocols throughout the day to ensure high touch surfaces, bathrooms, and equipment is disinfected regularly. We will have a very slow start back plan for our students so families feel safe and staff get a handle on necessary cleaning. Week 1- Sept 1-4 teachers return Week 2 and 3 -Sept 7-18 fa...mily orientations Week 4- start staggering entry of preschool - Sept 21 ongoing until we decide to move to full time attendance. See more
Watch in the coming weeks our safe reopen plans for our staff and students.
We have been given the go ahead to begin the enrollment process for school to start this September. We will begin by getting our returning students to fill out their paperwork and return it to the school. Next we will begin to fill the open spaces in the classrooms. We will contact families by phone and and an enrollment package will be dropped off at your house. Normally we would have had our classes full by this time but due to Covid the process has been delayed. Hopefull...y you will all get a call soon and the process will get started. Heres hoping that we all have a healthy 2020-2021 school year. See more

What a wonderful day. Blue room parade day was a great success. Everyone had a blast. Thank you to all of our families for working through the Covid kinks this school year. We hope the home kits, phone calls and the parade was a success. The teachers poured their hearts into those portfolios and we hope you love and cherish them.... We are winding up work soon in the preschool but will be in touch for those returning in the fall. Have a wonderful Summer everyone.

We could really use your help parents.
How are those sunflowers doing?
Playgrounds are opening kids!!!! Parents you will still need to be cautious and prepared. Even though risk is low in the province we all need to practice the advice from health. - have your children wash their hands with soap and water often. - be mindful if the playground has too many children on it. ... - if you or your child is not well stay at home - supervise the kids at a safe distance from others as best you can - but most of all enjoy the beautiful weather at the playground with your little ones. Stay safe everyone.

Hello ELC families. Since all of our chocolate almonds have been picked up, we have a few people looking to buy some. If any of the preschool families have a bit of their case left over that they are struggling to sell we have people who want some so please let us know. Also if you have money to return to the school let us know. We can arrange a driver to swing by and pick it up.
Wow. I am so happy to report that all the chocolates are gone. We had stacks of cases a few days ago and thanks to all of our families and supporters they are all sold. Thank you all
Check out our story and do a quick survey
Sesame Street is joining CNN this Saturday for a Town Hall to help kids and families discuss racism and the protests taking place nationwide, build empathy, and embrace diversity. Watch the hour-long special this Saturday June 6 at 10 am ET. #CNNSesameStreet
Hey everyone we need your help. We still have a stack of cases of chocolate almonds to sell. If anyone would be willing to help sell or to buy some please message us and let us know. This was a fundraiser for the ELC but it couldnt compete with COVID. Thanks for your help.
Black Out Tuesday #blackouttuesday
Most of you have received your latest kit from the preschool. The weather is beautiful now and kids will love blowing bubbles and creating with chalk. I cant wait to see some nature creation pictures and drawings. Send anything we can share. Enjoy!!!!
Here is a story for everyone today.
Elaine from the yellow room has some beautiful sunflowers growing. Almost ready to be moved outside to get more sunshine. Cant wait to see how tall they get.
Hi everyone. Its hard to believe that we are nearing the end of May. The preschool is doing all kinds of things to make the ELC even better for our children. The classrooms are getting cleaned and organized. Teachers are making and learning many new things. Even the playground is going to get some love and attention. If anyone has an update on how their sunflower seeds are doing please send one.
Hope everyone had a great long weekend. Just a few things we are working on we wanted to share. * a new fun pack is in the works and should be delivered to all the children soon. * please call to put your child on our waitlist. * organizing our year end celebration for all of the children. Thinking of a big ELC parade and delivery of portfolios and certificates. We will let you know when we know. * working on a plan for how the new school year will look. Of course we dont know what September will be like, we can plan some things to help us prepare.
