Monday Music time!!
We have some exciting news to share!!! Today we are happy share that we are launching an exciting new initiative here in Regina and that is the Regina Perinatal Health Network! Perinatal Mood & Anxiety Disorders affect 1 in 5 birthing people every year and we know, without a doubt, that untreated perinatal mental illness significantly impacts the development of young children. That is why we couldn’t be happier to create a new pathway for families to ensure they have the support they need to stay healthy throughout the perinatal period! All supports will be accessible online and FREE for parents in the community! Check out the post below for more info and make sure to follow along on their new Facebook and Instagram pages!

Some creative ideas!
https://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=U8ZSUzJ0KqU WHAT DOES POSTPARTUM DEPRESSION FEEL LIKE? This video is powerful. If you’re currently struggling or experiencing symptoms of a Perinatal Mood & Anxiety Disorder (PMAD), please watch with caution and know that our team is here to help, that we get it, and want to see you recover.... Perinatal mental illness is still an area of health that faces an immense amount of stigma and unfortunately is still quite misunderstood. A video like this is so important to share because it showcases the thoughts and feelings birthing people experience in the heat of a PMAD, and when we better understand something, we can work more efficiently in closing the gaps in care, while raising awareness in our communities. If you’re a new parent and could use support, there are many ways you can connect with us! Set up a time to chat one on one with our Perinatal Health Coordinator: https://rphn.ca/services Join our PMAD Facebook support group and connect with others who are going through a similar experience: https://www.facebook.com/groups/313593033089890/?ref=share Or email us directly if you have questions about how you’re feeling and how we can help: [email protected] Always remember, you’re never alone and these illnesses are temporary and treatable won’t help.
