Attention East Enders! Unusually warm weather means Ice conditions on ponds can change quickly and without warning, creating an extreme hidden hazard. Regina Fire & Protective Services reminds residents to stay away from all bodies of water, including Wascana Lake and creek, storm channels and detention ponds. Err on the side of caution. Residents should not walk, ski, skate or play on any body of water. Parents and guardians are asked to take a few moments to talk with child...ren about this important safety rule. Remember to keep dogs on a leash when close to bodies of water. If a pet breaks through the ice, do not attempt to rescue it as you will be putting yourself and others in danger. If you see anyone, particularly children, close to thin ice, call Regina Police Service at 306-777-6500. In an emergency involving people or pets, call 9-1-1. Be safe out there!
Due to the SHA and Provincial announcement placing a hold on sports programs, the AECA will be canceling the final three skating classes. You will be credited $83 which will take 2-3 weeks to process. Thank you for enrolling in our class and we hope to see you back in the future. The registration date for the winter session will be determined after the SHA and Provincial reevaluation of sports programs on Dec 17.

I will continue to advocate to end homelessness in our city! We need to work together with all levels of Government and our Indigenous organizations and commun...ity members to seek change. I believe the true meaning of a great city can be found in how it treats its most vulnerable. End Homelessness Regina Souls Harbour RESCUE Mission Carmichael Outreach Inc. See more

The Arcola East Community Association, which operates the Arcola East Preschool, has made the very difficult decision to close the school for the 2020/21 school year. The rules and regulations imposed by the Government of Saskatchewan and the City of Regina meant that there would need to be many changes to the program, which are not feasible at this time. Stay tuned for 2021/2022 school information. Stay safe out there!
