The regulated rate providers such as Epcor and Enmax charge an electricity price that is based on an approved formula. They try to estimate what a fair price is for the upcoming month. Please see below for how this approach compares with what we do at Regional Energy. Our customers pay for electricity based on the actual market price.

As the Utility Payment Deferral Program comes to an end at midnight tonight, we want to offer our customers some relief in knowing that we will be working diligently to make the payback of balances incurred during this term as manageable as possible. We will not be looking for lump sum payments, and we are not expecting you to clear this balance in the immediate future. Your deferral payment each month will represent one twelfth of the balance incurred throughout the deferr...al period. This amount will be included with your regular period invoicing going forward. If you would prefer to make bigger payments to settle the amount sooner, you are welcome to contact us to make these arrangements. As always, please contact us if you have any further questions.
