Tie dyed in a stew of Black Walnut husks, these pieces of cotton went on to hold personal recipes of lavender, chamomile and rose petals. Eye pillows for Yoga Nidra!

Fall Art session sign-up is now!

Root Tap announces its fall art program!! A variety of projects in different media are planned, and as always meditation, guided visualization and yoga are woven throughout the session. Classes are offered Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with after school pick up to 6 pm. We will begin the second week of September and run weekly through the final week of school. Get in touch soon if you are interested!!

Root Tap fall schedule is shaping up with children's classes on Tuesday and Wednesday. Holistic explorations in various media!

First phase of Mosaic making today. The girls rocked the drill and nippers, smashed the tiles real good and laid out cool designs with tile pieces.

The boys finished their soapstone sculptures this week. Heat and beeswax, and a final meditation.

Colours abounding! A day of printmaking inspired by botanical illustrations of wild edibles.

Pretty well thrilled with this day, the artists and their creations. Inspired by the little nature graffiti mural down by Matty Eckler, there was growth all over with poppies, oyster mushrooms ferns galore. Really nice to land with a little Yoga Nidra to end things off. Amazing job girls!!

March Break Monday we have a small group for advanced youth art, meditation and yoga. The plan is to begin March Break with a relaxing, soulful day journey. Please contact me if interested in joining. (Have you seen this beautiful little mural at Pape and Gerrard? I hope this artist paints all over the city. So cool!)

Long ago, our ancestors made pots and this skill was tapped into today, deep within. Lots of fun with the gang, amazing energy and beautiful results! (Sorry to miss getting a good shot of S.R. Next time!)
