Anyone familiar with the original Giving Tree story? This version has a few tweaks that make all the difference!
We human beings are social creatures. We thrive when we feel connected. How about you, how are you keeping connected in your life?
Suppressing thoughts and feelings that we do not enjoy doesnt work out well for us in the long-term. Noticing and naming your emotions can help you to feel a bit better, and to start reconnecting with your emotional intelligence for a more stable mental state.

The Inner Critic is a fiercely draining part of ourselves. Have you taken a look at what yours is saying recently? How might you respond with a little more kindness?
Self-Compassion Series Tip 4 - Countering your inner perfectionist with a mantra like, "Good enough". Enjoy the extra energy you will have freed up for yourself by letting go of the feeling you need to do everything perfectly.
How else can you build your self-compassion muscle? When we bring mindful awareness to the things we do well, or even just the tasks that we complete that were hard for us - we start to feel slightly better and develop self-trust. This weeks video is a gentle reminder to note the good you do and to encourage yourself by paying a wee bit more attention to it. ... And you can dance if you want to.
Do you recognize that you sometimes self-sabotage? How do we get out of our own way so we can feel more peace, and reach our goals more easily? We are held back from reaching our potential by self-limiting belief systems. Namely, the way our thoughts (such as, "Im not good enough") make us FEEL (guilty, sad, diheartened). ... This video is part of a self-compassion series with tools to support you in creating a kinder inner dialogue. The results of shifting the way we look at our beliefs about ourselves (the ability to question our own thoughts as fact or fiction) is a superpower that helps you to navigate the world with more love and ease, and with less fear and self-sabotage. What is your inner critic like? Name them and feel free to share about them in the comments below!
Boundaries are such an important relationship strengthener. We can dance along with Khadaura while we think about that today! Do you feel this happy setting boundaries in your relationships? Few of us do. It can feel scary, our inner people-pleasers may be fearful about disappointing or angering others. Yet, so much relief can come when we share what is okay and what is not okay in our relationships. As Bren Brown, renowned shame and vulnerability researcher put it, "Boundar...ies are respect." Truth bomb! Enjoy your dance!
This weekly Self-Compassion Series will provide you with a tool to practice being kinder to yourself. And goodness knows, the world needs more kindness - both the internal and external varieties! What are the ways that you talk to yourself (your internally-directed thoughts)? We are often our own worst critic. ... This way of self-relating can drain our energy, and negatively impact our health and other relationships.

Anyone else getting caught up in the Cult-of-Productivity? This article is a funny reflection on our self-(and societal) expectations. Stress is a hugely energy-sucking force; so why are we feeling so much pressure to GOGOGO and get all the things done? Lets acknowledge how hard this is and stop "shoulding" on ourselves. We dont need to be perfect, we need to be humans feeling our feelings and taking care of ourselves in the best ways we can on any given day. ... On the other hand, sometimes throwing ourselves into work can feel like a nice distraction from the state of the world, and thats okay too. If you are enjoying learning new skills like making loaves of sourdough bread or running an online business, you keep on enjoying that! Its all about balance and harm-reduction with the ways we cope.
