Dispatcher and Call Takers required for growing towing business As a dispatcher and call taker, one of the biggest parts of your job is helping customers who need emergency assistance. Dispatchers must work well under pressure and respond to emergencies quickly and efficiently. The customer may have broken down on the side of the road, have a flat tire, a dead battery, or locked their keys in their car. As a dispatcher/call taker, you will need to find out important details... about the customers situation and dispatch a towing operator with the right skills and the proper equipment to help them as quickly as possible. This job can be very exciting as no two shifts are the same! Reliable Towing Services is hiring full-time and part-time dispatchers and call takers for our offices in Mission and Maple Ridge. The successful candidate will be required to work afternoon/evening shifts and/or weekends, and possibly statutory holidays. To be considered for this position you will need to demonstrate minimum keyboarding skills of 35 wpm, excellent memory and attention to detail, and ability to learn our dispatch computer program. You will need to have strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to clearly articulate information to all demographics by telephone and computer-based programs. The position requires communication with police departments and insurance agencies, as well as providing quotes for services to customers and taking calls for assistance from auto clubs. Other related experience will be considered an asset, such as working in a call centre or retail environment, working in the automotive or towing industry, or having a geographical knowledge of British Columbia. If you have excellent communication skills, can provide exemplary customer service, have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and commitment to continuous learning we will provide the training you need to be successful with our team. You will be required to successfully complete background checks, which may include criminal record and reference checks.
