RE/MAX Centre 07.05.2022

Team Gushue sporting their Olympic Bronze Medals! We, as a club, a province, and a nation, are extremely proud of this team and their performance at the 2022 Beijing Winter Games! They are the epitome of hard work, dedication and class and they have inspired us all to dream big! We want to wish them luck one last time as they fight with bad weather and delayed flights on their journey home. Safe travels the rest of the way Team Gushue - we look forward to celebrating your incredible achievement in person soon!

Ronald J. Buckley (December 24th, 1924 - February 24th, 2021) died today peacefully at the age of 96, after a long and healthy life. Our family is so grateful for the love and support we have received over the years from our communities.

I'd like to announce that I'm officially retiring from coaching at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts with a perfect 2-0 record! I've never been more happy to see a person, thank God Laura came. Coaching is stressful. Back to being a 5th with zero pressure! #STOH2021

The past year has been incredibly tough for all of us. With the recent outbreak of Covid-19 variant in Newfoundland & Labrador, it highlights how quickly things... can change. Like with any crisis, it’s the frontline workers that step up and sacrifice so much to keep us safe. To show our appreciation to them, we would love to giveaway two Team Canada autographed jerseys to essential frontline workers. All you need to do is nominate someone you believe that has made a difference! Please include their name & picture, where they’re from & a brief description of how they’ve made a difference. Please comment on this post to enter. Recipients will be chosen at random since all are equally deserving. Nominations will remain open until Wednesday, February 17th, 2021. Please stay safe, remember to download the COVID-19 App, wash your hands, wear a mask and social distance Kubota Canada Purolator Maple Leaf Foods Hardline Curling Asham BELFOR Property Restoration

What an exciting day it was! We were honoured to meet Stella and her handler Cst. Krista Fagan. Stella, a Portuguese Water Dog, is the Royal Newfoundland Const...abulary’s 1st police support dog for mental health. Stella’s main duty is to comfort victims, especially children, when they are exposed to traumatic events. Stella has a very calm demeanour and is a valuable asset to victims of crime. Kudos to the RNC for the great initiative. It was a great experience for us! One we won’t soon forget. We need to break the stigma of mental illness. With increased awareness comes more support and care for those that need it. Thank you Stella and Cst. One of the world's oldest team sports, curling originated in the 16th century in Scotland, where games were played during winter on frozen ponds and lochs. The earliest-known curling stones came from the Scottish regions of Stirling and Perth and date from 1511.

Think they are happy??! Some great curlers play this game for a lifetime and never get a banner to hang in their curling club. These young ladies get their firs...t at 13/14 years of age. At our first game of the season this beauty was waiting for us. So proud of each and every one of you - Kate, Sitaye, Katie and Cailey.
