Sunrise and fog together do not disappoint! This was just a small part of the largest bison herd I’ve ever seen. Waited about 30 minutes while they slowly crossed the road. Two recent photos from Elk Island for those not on Instagram. This was the first time I ever captured Noctilucent clouds. They are the highest clouds in the atmosphere and catch sunlight while everything in the lower atmosphere is in Earth’s shadow. After doing some reading, they are thought to be ice particles forming on meteor dust. Second photo is my favourite thing to shoot, our good ol’ home Galaxy, the Milky Way. You need dark, clear skies to see it so It’s not visible in cities and towns with high light pollution. 2:00am photo journeys are always worth it.
