With the continuing issue of the Corona Virus, the upsurge in cases both provincially and ...federally, and following the directions of Dr. Bonnie Henry, the Chief Provincial Medical Health Officer, we will not be holding in-person services at the church for the time being. You can continue to join us for our online, virtual service with Pastor Jim. Just check out Renaissance Christian Church Vancouver on YOUTUBE. We will keep you up-dated as time goes on as to when we will re-start our evening service. We will be praying for each of you. PLEASE be careful, stay safe and KEEP FAITH. Remember, God is faithful . As previously mentioned, there will be no live service tonight due to Covid-19 and new government restrictions. In lieu, I hope this message of peacemaking and reconciliation will be a blessing to you.

Happy Canadian Thanksgiving to all of you. I am excited to announce that Renaissance Church will meet tomorrow (Thanksgiving Sunday) for an in-person service. We will also discuss plans for moving forward. With Covid-19 cases on the upswing, this may be a one-of service for the time being but that will be determined with our discussion. I hope you'll be able to join us. 6:00 PM is the time, Saint Michael's Church at 409 East Broadway the location.

Almost forgot to check in from last Sunday: Sorry about that. We had a great service for the first in-person service in 7 months. Although Covid restrictions... are in place and fellowship is limited, the congregation has decided they would like to do bi-weekly live services. Tomorrow (October 18th) I will do U-Tube from my home and the next live service will be Sunday, October 25th. Art and Joel will both be singing and Pastor Rick Morcombe will be speaking. Greetings from Pastor’s Jim and Rick, It is hard to believe that half a year has passed since the Covid-19 crisis forced the cancellation of church services. Although we must be cautious in our church management, we have decided that Thanksgiving Sunday will be a great time for us to re-start or at least trial a service at Renaissance Church, and see the response from everyone. Congregational response, and the government recommendations, will determine the path of action tha...t we take with regard to weekly or periodic services. We celebrate the return but an abundance of caution neccesates the following protective measures: Those at highest risk should take all necessary precautions if committed to attending in person If uncertain, please know we will understand if you are unable to attend at this time Anyone with a fever or other Covid-19 symptoms should stay home. If anyone arrives with a fever or symptoms, they will be asked to return home and will be denied entry (for their safety and the health and safety of the other guests). Attendance is discouraged if you are caring for someone who is ill with Covid-19 or any communicable condition. Attendees must wear masks at least when arriving or departing. Social Distancing will be necessary within the building and the church is marked out for personal distancing. There will disinfectant at the front door, but it is also wise to bring our own or carry handwipes. Handshaking and hugging are not recommended at this time. We will have singers sharing in the service but congregational singing will be minimal, at best. Unfortunately there will be no refreshment or fellowship after the service.
