Our prayer is that families everywhere, whether large or small, are able to stay connected throughout this holiday season. Although our communication and in person interaction is different, letters, cards and calls can reach out and tell someone you’re thinking of them. In spite of restrictions and the changes Covid presents, this coming season can be a joyful one. So we’ve been listening and are getting out as much Christmas decor as we can.

Many of us are now probably aware of the November 24 announcement by Premier Kenny. The Alberta website"COVID-19: A state of public health emergency is being declared. New mandatory measures to bend the curve of cases are in effect." What this means for you and the staff/volunteers at reNew is that we will continue to request hand sanitizing, 6 feet social distancing and effective November 30, 2020 face masks. We hope that everyone understands how important a role these safe...ty measures can help in these very difficult times. To those of you who have had family member's affected by Covid, we are vigilant with our thoughts and prayers for everyone. We want to keep our doors open and everyone can help with that and still come in and shop but we may have to manage our numbers in store. Covid has created the need for adjustments to our personal and social interactions. Although we are aware how important it is to provide services to everyone in our community, we must, as a business take seriously all government recommendations and advisories. Social distancing, hand washing, sanitizing and mask wearing are some of the advisories out there for all business's to ensure we can keep our doors open. On Friday November 13, 2020 new advisories and restrictions were posted on Alberta.ca. We will continue to stay up to date and compliant to protect our customers and staff.

On November 11, 2020 as best we can, we as individuals pay tribute to those who fought for the freedoms of others and paid the ultimate price with their lives. ReNew Thrift Store will be closed for Remembrance Day and in our own way show honor to all those sacrifices. We will re-open on November 12, 2020 at 9:30 am.

Our team here at reNew wanted to reach out to anyone who may have a working washing machine that they would be interested in donating to our store, we would be so thankful and appreciative!! Ours unfortunately gave up the fight a few days ago but served us very well. We would pick it up and in xchange provide an in store gift certificate for your generosity.

Good Afternoon reNew Customers. We continue to be blessed with donations and have been sporadic in accepting donations and so to better serve Red Deer and area, our donations hours will be changed to Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The high volumes have been such a blessing and we find the extra days are a benefit to organize and maintain flow. We do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and if you can only bring something down on a Tuesday or Thursday please call us and possibly we can arrange something that works. Its already Labour day weekend!! Wow did that creep up quick. So, having said that we will be CLOSED Monday September 7, 2020 for the day and open again for you Tuesday September 8th.
