20 ORIGINALS IN 20 DAYS: This is day 7, and tonight’s song is We can fly. I wrote this one last year, and recently gave the chorus a bit of a facelift.

20 ORIGINALS IN 20 DAYS...Time to lighten up on day 6...tonight’s song celebrates one of the world’s truly fine beverages....Coconut Rum! So pour up a glass, sit back, and reflect on a past trip to the sunny south.....but keep your eye on your coconut!!

A SONG FOR MOTHERS DAY: This is a song that I wrote for my mother earlier this year. I'm reposting it for Mothers Day as a salute to all mothers. Mothers do so much as we all know, but in my eyes, they have this one particular ability that is both humbling and worthy of great admiration. I saw it in my mother, I see it in my wife and now I see it in my daughter. And I've seen it in so many mothers over the years...this amazing, almost innate ability to pick us up when things ...go wrong, dust us off, and get us moving again, no matter what the circumstances. In this song I described that wonderful talent as "bringing us home"....whenever I screwed up, or lost my way, Mom always had a way of clearing my head and helping me feel better about whatever I was facing. Interestingly, the best part of writing this song was thinking about her. She passed away many years ago, but some days even now, I can still feel her hand on my shoulder.. bringing me home.
