This is what it looks like when you install a 50 year shingle with a 25 year ridge capping. Some shingle manufacturers do not produce a 50yr blend, so you have to double up the 25yr 3 tab shingles for your ridge or use a comparable colour in a different brand. The first layer will still burn out this way in the former case. In the latter, the colour may be way off.

Hi, everyone looking for roof/trough replacement or repairs. During this time, there is a lot of uncertainty as to whether the order issued to cease non-essential construction applies to what we do. My trough guy works alone. My crew consists of myself, my husband and two others. Contact with customers can be established over the phone and payments can be made via etransfers. Social gatherings are limited to 5 people. Given the description of essential construction, I don't ...believe we fit, but at the same time, if you can gather up to 5 people socially, maybe we'll say we're socially roofing?? Sorry, folks. We dont have answers and were not provided any further direction by the Stop The Spread Business Line nor by the Ministry of Labour. This is a 50yr shingle, rated for up to 210kph winds that came off last night, in 80kph winds. See how the shingle has a double layer below the nail hole (this shingle is photographed upside-down)? THAT is the nail area!! Where it is doubled up!! The whole roof is nailed that way and susceptible to coming off. Roofers, instructions are printed right on the packaging! Oh yeah, and check out the furnace stack patch up job!! I'm done.

Because of the rain on Tuesday and winds on Wednesday, we barely made a dent in this project. We loaded 484 bundles on Monday, and we finally got to put some shingles down today. There's been a few snags so far, but we are getting through it

I met possibly the nicest person on the planet recently. Her name is Yolanda. This is what it's all about. She contracted with our company before she sold her house in Bowmanville a few years ago, and then she remembered us when her roof was due for replacement in Roseneath. The whole way through, she was very sweet. She greeted me with a hug when I visited to measure up her roof and before we left, she gave me a keepsake. Her and her husband won't be forgotten. It was a great pleasure to meet them and their adorable cornish rexes!
