Meagan Kelln has been teaching formal piano lessons for over 4 years and has built her studio from 3 students to 30 students in that time. She is classically trained through the Royal Conservatory of Music and is also a solo singer and songwriter. She is passionate about music and loves sharing that passion with her pupils- aged 4 to adult. Lessons involve improvisation (making music up on the spot), ear training, theory, and formal technical keyboard work. They will also i...ncorporate rhythm training, singing, music history and composition. Aspects of mindfulness as it relates to music training will also be used. Mostly, the goal is to always have some FUN! If we are not having fun, we won't develop a love of music. The curriculum is based on Nancy and Randall Faber’s award winning method books, and supplemented with digital, and the teacher's own, resources. No exam training is offered, rather there is a focus on joyful performance as a point on the journey of music practice. All genres of music are supported, from popular to traditional to classical.
