Content! Content! Content! It probably goes without saying why search engines like Google absolutely LOVE content. Just think about it from all perspectives here. From an end user's perspective, they're looking for answers to their questions, they want to know where to find a service, or just general research type queries. All of which comes from content.... From a content provider's perspective, you want those end users to find your site, gain traffic from them and fulfill purpose of your site. From Google's perspective, they want people to use their search service as to drive traffic to their brand and increase its reliability on a global scale. Honestly, what Google has done by providing this service is created a bunch of dependent addicts. They've essentially created a service that people in our day and age cannot live without any longer. Just think, decades ago if you wanted to find information on a certain topic, you'd have to go to an encyclopedia or an almanac, and still if you couldn't find your answer, where did you go? Content is the main driving force to getting traffic to your website, service or brand. If you're the authoritative source for solutions and answers to people's queries and questions, guaranteed Google will put you at the top.
