Almost every time I post up a picture of a head being ported, I always get questioned if we flow bench them afterwards to see if we increase any gains and if we check that they all flow equally. We don't, and those values mean absolutely nothing in reality on individual component on 99% of engines out there. A few big things that people fail to realise is that manifold runner design, flow distribution within those runner, casting /porting in those runner, plenum design, and ...the way it distributes air (usually favouring flow to a few cylinders due to how the throttle body points) , not to mention when things are bolted together , if they aren't gasket matched and bolted to be concentric to each other , and that cam duration and different lift height at various durations angles, nor how pulses and scavenging of gases can play into account are almost never taken into account. Everything always works as a system, and if any part of that system isn't flowing the same (which 99.99% of the time is the case) your actual cfm flow in and/or out the engine is going to mean nothing based upon a singular flow rating at one specific point of an engine. Not to get into the different ways and machines people use to flow bench. Its just like how going to different dynos give you different horsepower reading. See more

Its been long over due but after a few days of finally going on building a bigger oven for powder coating, we can finally say its pretty much done!! We will be able to turn around jobs quicker now by being able to fit more in there as well as accommodate bigger jobs that we weren't able to previously do!
