Given the continued instructions from Public Health to social distance, We continue to be unable to provide in person treatments at this time. It is difficult at this time to anticipate the date when we will be able to fully re-open our doors to all the patients we miss so much right now. To this end we have set up the option of telehealth video appointments that can be booked online (www.responsephysicaltherapy.ca), by phone(613-220-4902) or by email ([email protected]) to make sure you continue to receive the care you need in this unusual time. If you still have a regular appointment booked, you will be contacted to make appropriate arrangements in the near future. To all my valued patients yet again, I am deeply sad to announce that given the rapidly changing events surrounding Covid 19, we will be following the best advice from Ottawa Public Health and The Canadian Physiotherapy Association and closing down the clinic until at least March 30th. If you have not yet received a phone call to discuss your treatment plan in detail, rest assured you will be contacted in the coming days. My top priority remains the health and safety of all ...of our patients, and at this time this feels like the most correct choice. I will be offering telephone or web based treatment options for anyone who has questions about their care going forward. I am already looking forward to resuming treatments with all of you once it is safe and reasonable to do so! To all my wonderful patients, Given the current events I thought it important to reach out to all of you. At this time Response Physical Therapy will continue to remain open and offering treatments as normal. We will continue to follow all of the routine disinfection and cleaning protocols as always (Washing hands before and after treatments, disinfecting all treatment surfaces and equipment with a hospital grade disinfectant, and changing all linens) and we have implemented ...increased disinfection of all common area surfaces such as doorknobs, debit terminals, and seating areas etc. We will also be implementing some new measures such as requesting all patients to wash or sanitize hands upon arriving at the clinic with provided stations. That being said we understand very much that these are stressful and nerve-wracking times, if you are unable to be out, or simply do not feel comfortable being out in the community, we understand fully if you wish to cancel any appointment and we have no fees for any cancellations late or otherwise. I also am more than happy to offer telephone or web appointments where we could discuss coping strategies, progressions or modifications of your current exercise programs, and any other concerns you might have. If you are currently sick or exhibiting any symptoms such as a fever or new or worsening cough, I respectfully request that you remain home until such time as these symptoms have abated. I also ask that you consult with the current recommendations of Ottawa Public health, and that you follow their advice for travel- if you have been out of the country, please consider postponing your next appointment until 14 days following your return- I ask this on behalf for those who may be more vulnerable to illness, and I thank you deeply for your consideration. It has been one year since we opened our doors in Richmond, and I want to say a big thank you for the amount of love and support we have been shown in the community and surrounding areas! It has been a truly incredible 365 days, and I can't wait to see what the next year has in store for us!
