*****UPDATED******* I hired Norm Henry Jr. to put a metal roof on my house. It turned out horrible. Holes everywhere and it now leaks. It never did before. He p...ut flashing for my chimney on top of the metal. My skylight has no flashing and gaps all around it. The drip edge on back of house is on top of the metal. The sheets he used were to short and there are patches everywhere. He will not return my messages or calls. He took all the extra metal so I have none to repair the roof. Homeowners beware. He is a scammer. *** UPDATE*** We found out today that Havelock Metal seen our post and reached out to us with great concern for our roof and the terrible condition the metal was in. To our surprise they generously offered to replace all materials. We're forever grateful for the team at Havelock and Allen's Family roofing, who has volunteered his time to do the install. We are going to have the roof of our dreams after all. We cannot thank them enough. This is the message we received. ********** Mike and Jennifer, I'm reaching out on behalf of Havelock Metal Co. Last week, we were dispatched to a homeowner reporting a smell of smoke in their residence. While enroute, we were advised that there were pipes glowing in th...e attic. Our investigation confirmed that, in fact, the pipes did appear to be glowing- from sunlight shining in, not from heat. The thin scheduled pipe near the roof line gave us a pretty neat optical illusion. An HVAC technician later confirmed our findings of a bad motor in the attic air handling unit as the cause of the smoke smell. *Shared with permission from the homeowner.

PLEASE ONLY FLUSH TOILET PAPER "Flushable" wipes should not be flushed down your toilet. These wipes do not break down in water and can cause clogs in sewer pip...es and pumps. Chris Angelo, Director of Public Works & Environmental Services explains further in this video about the challenges wipes and other non-toilet paper items can cause not only to our sewer treatment plant but to your own plumbing and property. Good morning everyone, I have been watching very close with all of the events, this situationappears to be changing hourly. At this time, I will still be performing inspections and will be implementing the following rules during inspections. This is for my safety, the agents, the homeowner and your safety, which is paramount during this time. All inspections will only be with the booking client or representative, partners including and agreed, please no children or additional... family members. Everyone at the inspection will be asked to wear gloves to reduce contact with surfaces. If you have traveled out of the country in the last 14 days, please self isolate and send a representative. A detail report will be sent to you and we can arrange a walk through at a later date at no additional charge. I will go over the report via phone, or messenger/facetime as well will contact you if I find anything major. If you feel unwell, DO NOT ATTEND. All clients will be asked to wash their hands thoroughly at the end of the inspection, I will be providing paper towels to dry hands, please do not use home owners linens to dry your hands. As always, my goal is to protect my clients and at this time, with this current situation I ask you to please follow all governments and my regulations during this time. Thank you for your understanding during this time, I will be doing my best to provide my services during this time.

With all the recent events with the current COVID-19 concern, Rest Easy Home Inspections will still be performing inspections. I will be monitoring the situation and until other wise directed. I will be doing my best to help protect myself, clients and agents. I will have gloves available for clients during inspections and will have hand soap available if it's not at the home I'm inspecting. If you are having your home inspected and you are unwell, please leave a note or ask ...to have it changed. If you book an inspection and are unwell prior, please send someone in your place, if you cannot attend, we can use FaceTime or messenger video to go over the report while I'm on-site.
