Every year the Ministry of Labour chooses various sectors and workplace risks to focus on. The "blitzes" can be found at the link below. We have recently noticed a focus on inspectors requiring proof for working at heights and a renewed focus on WHMIS requirements. WHMIS requirements are province wide and affect ALL workers in the workplace regardless of construction, industrial, farming, etc. Canada has a new system with new symbols and requirements so make sure your employees are trained.
