When we say, for example, "I SHOULD meditate more", it carries self-criticism and implies we are doing something wrong or even failing. When we say, "I COULD mediate more", it allows us to be kinder to ourselves and increases our personal power. Whenever you catch yourself saying, "I should", try changing the sentence to "I could" and notice if it has an effect on how you're feeling.
