Here's one that will interest a lot of you . . . we cannot call it automation, but maybe "transportation"! https://www.atlasobscura.com/art/moving-lighthouses-denmark
Hello to everyone - sorry for the big lapse, but I have been having a few medical problems - not life threatening, but annoying. Anyways, I will post when I can, but there has not been too much on lighthouses for a while - end of summer - maybe it will pick up. The following article is great and had to be republished here. This is is one of my favourite lighthouse disputes as it involves USA and Canada. Great history in the article - here it is: https://www.atlasobscura.com/arti/us-canada-island-dispute
Sorry for the delay in posting but I have been slow in everything for last few months. Also trying to get a new Windows 10 computer to act like a computer instead of a spoiled child! I cam across this article the other day and thought you all might be interested. Beachcombing for glass balls was always fun! https://curiosity.com//every-year-thousands-of-glass-orbs-
Been busywith doctors and hospitals. I did have this photo to show. It is not a lighthouse, but a lighthouse tender/icebreaker. This photo was taken in inside waters - imagine what it can do on the open sea! They are made to rock and roll so they do not get stuck in the ice. I rode on a few between lighthouse transfers. Ever seen a sea-sick cat! :-)? (two photos - use the arrow keys)
Another bit of news on British Columbia, Canada lighthouses: https://www.cbc.ca//bc-lighthouses-wind-solar-power-1.5125
I received this article from a Canadian friend. Cape Beale - a lovely lighthouse on the west coast of Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. https://newsinteractives.cbc.ca//lighthouse-keeper-bc-cape
After posting the photo of the abandoned lighthouse, it got to wondering how many others there are abandoned. "Ask Google" they say so here is Google's list. . . . . . https://www.google.com/search
https://www.atlasobscura.com//deserted-abandoned-places-to #2 is an unmanned, un-attended lighthouse ruin on Klein Curacao. Would be nice to own, but a lot of work - check out the other parts of the island. - only if I was younger!
Sorry for the missed days - been sick for a while. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Europa_Point

This rather a pretty and fun post - in the first screen "find the lighthouse" and click on the lightouse and find many beautiful aurora photos! https://www.pinterest.ph//the-northern-lights-in-iceland/
