Mike got in the rx3 at 0930 with all new tires and full load of fuel. The car was still handling like it was on rails over the last 22 hours but the engine was starting to get tired with the oil pressure slowly dropping. Short shifting was helping with the oil pressure issue. The goal is to survive until the end of the race. Lap times were at the 207-209 range depending on traffic shifting at 7000-7500 rpm. Mike had no yellow flags during the last stint so it was good fast ra...cing... Everyone that was running at 10/10th in getting one extra position. Lots of close racing. The oil pressure was starting to drop more with 20 minutes left in the race. The team made an excellent decision on bringing the car into the hot pits as we made up as many position as we could and no one could catch RRT. RRT waited until five minutes were left in the race and sent Mike out to get the finish. RRT had quite the acknowledgement at the end of the race with the RX3 finishing with a very dedicated crew. If it wasn't for the persistence of the crew one keeping the car on the track the 3 wouldn't have finished in the top 40 out of 87 cars. Terry, Jeff, Chris, Mike and Ryan would like to delicate the race to the RRT crew on keeping the car going for 25 hours (two engine changes, one tranny change, one rear end change and six hours of mechanical work during the race) See more

Here is a real quick up date. RRT rx3 is still going and in about 45 position. Jeff did a great job on saving the car for Chris at about 0600 hrs. Chris had a right front tire go down and made it back to pit lane. The tire and fuel team did an awesome job on reacting to this emergency pit stop. Mike will get into the car with fresh rubber on and a fuel load of fuel at 0930 hrs to bring her home. Lets go boys!!!!!

Terry has been in the car driving the 3 after the engine swap. He had to come in for some carburetor jetting changes to get the egt temperatures reduced and a small stumble out of turn 3. Once the jets had been replaced the car ran great. Terry had a close call with a sports racer in turn 3 and managed to avoid him. At hour 2:35 of his driving stint the rear end broke and brought it in at 2235hrs. Know wonder this race is named "Survive the 25". The crew changed out the pum...pkin as the car was back out on track with Ryan back in the car at 0018hrs with full load of fuel. Ryan had a blast in the car and was racking in good lap times. Late in Ryan's stint he started to have issues in getting the transmission into fifth gear. Eventually a few other gears went and he had to bring it in for a transmission change at 0224hrs. As of 0300 hrs the crew is again working hard on dropping and replacing the tranny. As you know endurance racing you bring at least two of everything. RRT is currently in 45th place overall. The leader is a sports racer and following the GTM Audi TT. See more
