An important message regarding our COVID-19 dental treatment status We wanted to let you know that we continue to take emergency teledentistry (250-837-6321) appointments and are now in the exciting process of getting ready to reopen our office soon with very specific guidelines in place to ensure your next visit with us is a safe one. Your oral care is our number one priority and we can’t wait to see you. If this is an emergency, please call 250-837-6231 for a dental teleco...nference. Currently, for all other non-emergency appointments, we are still somewhat limited in the appointments we can take, please bear with us as we work hard to fit you into our schedule based on your level of need. Additionally, we want to inform you of the following precautions we are taking to ensure we keep you safe. For every staff member, we regularly check for COVID-19 symptoms and mandate a 14-day quarantine as needed. For every patient, we screen in advance for COVID-19 symptoms and ensure appropriate personal protective equipment for all staff members. To continue social distancing measures, we have set up a virtual waiting roomfor patients to wait outside/ in car and text to check in. On the day of your appointment you will receive detailed instructions stay tuned! Between patient visits, we clean, disinfect and sterilize rooms, instruments and all surfaces in our procedure rooms and operatories. In the reception/waiting area, we continually disinfect all surfaces and provide hand sanitizer to both staff and patients. And at least daily, we clean all floors, bathrooms and high touch areas to ensure all areas are disinfected and fully sanitized.

March 24, 2020 Update on Dental Care in Revelstoke Dear Revelstoke Community,... Your local Revelstoke dental clinics have made the difficult decision to suspend all clinical operations until further notice. We continue to comply with recommendations from provincial health officials, the College of Dental Surgeons of BC, and the BC Dental association, which are evolving on a daily basis. We are in the acceleration phase of the COVID-19 pandemic and the risk of community transmission between patients and our teams is simply too high. Our clinics are not equipped with the personal protective equipment that is now advised for performing dental procedures. Rest assured that if you do experience a dental emergency, there will be a dentist available to assist you via telephone or video consultation. Please understand that physical treatment will not be available. Life-threatening injuries or illnesses will be referred to Queen Victoria Hospital. This type of management is obviously not our preference, but a necessary precaution in this stage of the crisis. Please phone your primary provider’s office to obtain further instructions for reaching your dentist. If you had an appointment booked with our offices in the upcoming weeks, please assume it to be rescheduled. Our staff will be in touch to reschedule your dental appointment when the time becomes appropriate. The moment we are able to provide safe and effective dental care, we will resume our regular operations. Additional information on dental care during the COVID-19 crisis can be found at: https://www.bcdental.org/ https://www.cdsbc.org/ At this time, all your local dental teams are healthy. Above all, we sincerely hope you and your families are too. Take care and be well. Sincerely, Dr. Steven L. Schadinger, MSc, DMD Dr. Grace Ettinger, MSc, DDS Dr. W. Scott LeBuke, BSc, DDS Dr. Philomena Gale, BSc, DMD Dr. Mark Schwenck, DDS
