Bagheera is a very handsome 7 year old snuggle bug. His interests include playing soccer, eating fine foods, and opera (he practices daily). He loves to play with his foster family and would likely appreciate a feline friend. Once he’s had his play and meal he is content to nap in a lap, next to a fire, or in a window. Bagheera has diabetes that is under control. He appears to be nearing remission but still requires an occasional micro-injection of insulin and daily blood glucose monitoring. If full remission is achieved he will require less testing. His trust is easily earned and he is a patient boy who tolerates his required blood testing like a champ. This house panther is full of personality and sure to bring joy to his new home.

***Butch is ready for his forever home*** Butch is 4 years old and a very handsome 13lb ball of love. Butch was a community kitty for a couple years being fed by kind hearted individuals. Butch has been vaccinated, neutered and microchip. Thanks to our very generous community who raised $2050 Butch was able to have needed eye surgery and dental surgery. Butch is very loving and cuddly. When he has had a enough he will let you know. He is also very food motivated. We are so grateful to be ending the year on such a high note! The Pictures with Santa silent auction was a great success raising $2200 We also thank everyone who donated their booking fee even though Covid-19 stopped us from having the pictures event as that contributed to this amount too. Winter Weather Pet Tips We don’t typically have many stray dogs in Revelstoke but there are often stray cats around. Please contact us if you notice any strays (cats or dogs) hanging around. We will provide them with a warm place to curl up and have regular meals plus unconditional love.

Hello Friends and Supporters, We regret to inform you that we are unable to proceed with our fundraiser ‘Pictures with Santa’ this weekend. For the safety of our community, and in accordance with the most recent Provincial Health measures, we are postponing the event, to be reassessed on December 7th. If at that point the health officers deem it possible and we feel there will be no risk to our community, we will continue with the event on the weekend of December 12th and 1...3th. All appointments that were made will be honored on the Saturday and Sunday at the same times. The raffle, full of generously donated items from local businesses and community members, will also be postponed until those dates. If on December 7th we decide to cancel the event we will refund everyone who has paid. If you do not wish to wait and see what happens on December 7th and would like to get a refund at this point, please email or call us and we will be happy to send your booking fees back to you. We can’t even express how disappointed all of us at the Revelstoke and District Humane Society are that we won’t get to see all your smiling faces and meet your furry loved ones this weekend, but of course the most important thing is that we all stay safe and follow all the advice of the health experts. Thank you all for your ongoing support. It brings us much comfort these days to see our community continue to care for one another, animals included. Now, I am not one to usually ask for paw-sistance, since I am a strong independent cat, but I am concerned that I won’t be able to eat all the delicious shmackos if this doesn’t get fixed.
