We are excited to introduce our new TELEMEDICINE service! Our doctors are now able to provide 15 minute video or chat consultations from the comfort and safety of your own home. What can we do through telemedicine? ... -General health advice or questions -Diet questions -Behaviour concerns -Recheck or follow up consults -medication questions and refills (if appropriate). -lameness - yes! many problems can be evaluated and managed - photos or videos can help (some cases may need follow up in clinic) -skin issues - yes! many problems can be evaluated and managed - photo or videos can help (some cases may need follow up in clinic) -eye concerns - yes! some concerns can be evaluated and managed or you can be advised if an in clinic exam is required. - photos or video can help. What can we not do through telemedicine? -Vaccinations - but we can discuss vaccine schedules and advise you when they are required. -Surgery - but we may be able to tell you if it’s needed. -Blood testing - but we may be able to tell you if it’s needed. -X-rays- but we may be able to tell you if they are needed. -injectable medications - but we might be able to talk you through how to give them! nail trims - but we can help talk you through it. There are many concerns we can deal with through telemedicine sessions - but not all if we determine a hands on visit is required at our facility, a discounted in-clinic exam fee will apply.
