The Dragons manifest in our treatment as Prosthesis Dimensional Error and Tissue Effects. We often don’t even realize they’re in play until it’s too late. Knowing how to anticipate, separate and tame these master complicators should be part of every implantologist’s tool kit. Oral pathogens live everywhere on our work - in and on dental implants, under cantilevered prosthetics, between implant parts, under overhanging margins, in open margins, on subgingival cement and in voids under crowns. If we want our implant treatment to be successful longer, we must reduce these pathogenic breeding grounds. Svoboda modifications to current screw-in and cement-in installation techniques, comprise a better system of prosthesis delivery that produces more consistent results for the patient.
