Full Moon tonight... My favorite day of every month...sometimes to celebrate good feelings, sometimes so I can let go of the bad... but, every month I welcome it in a big way (well, actually a soft, quiet, reflective, sacred way but still big ) Moon phase garlands ($22) by @emeraldandginger, Soy Intention Candles ($16) by @tealpansyjewelry, Wishing Stars ($17.95) and Spirit Feathers ($35-$59) by @lorisdawn and Essential Oil soaps ($7.95) from @quadraislandsoap are some of the tools I’ll have ready for myself tonight.. and all freshly available on the shop floor just in time

Our latest custom piece that we revived for a client headed back home on Saturday. It took a bit longer than anticipated, due to Covid and needing to wait patiently for paint restocks from our supplier, but thankfully Andrea is a beautiful human being and announced all good things are worth the wait. Painted in @fusionmineralpaint chocolate with midnight blue peeking thru from under the distressed edges. To add a smidgen more richness to the chocolate color, and for extra durability, I top coated the entire piece using @fusionmineralpaint Stain and Finishing Oil in Cappuccino. Polished up the hardware and inside the cabinets with hemp oil and she’s finally tucked back home in the dining room.

This sweet custom piece is now lighter, brighter and with no more burn holes. Repaired, sealed and then painted in @fusionmineralpaint Bedford grey with a light distress.. I choose to clear coat her table top with Saman dead flat for added durability since she’s clearly put to work back home. She’s finished and ready to go..Her hard knocks life now far behind her... Some colors in our @fusionmineralpaint line dry a bit faster then others, like Chocolate, Coal Black and Midnight Blue for example.. When paint naturally dries faster than we’re ready for, it creates brush strokes and an uneven sheen. That’s when I use the Extender. Just 1 tablespoon, per pint (1 time) to reaaaallllly help solve those issues by slowing down the dry time a smidge. You can also add it to every single color if you find it makes painting all the things easier for you. $8.95
