We also celebrated our summer student Shannon’s last day before she heads off to the University of Saskatchewan to pursue a degree in Agronomy. Lest we forget. Today marks the 100th anniversary of the armistice that ended fighting in World War I. Lest we forget that there were thousands of farmers in all wars throughout modern history that left their homes, their farms, their wives and children to fight for a cause they believed in...to fight for the freedom we enjoy today. Many of them did not return home to the land they loved, to the farms they loved, and to their families. To them we are eternally thankful. Winter Wheat! With harvest well under way we almost forgot to post our FABULOUS Pioneer Seeds 25R46 Winter Wheat results! AgroLiquid fertility portion yielded 105.3 bu/ac and received 5gal/ac High NRG-N, 12gal/ac 28%UAN and 1.5 gal/ac eNhance followed up at flag leaf with 11gal/ac High NRG-N and 14gal/ac 28%UAN. The traditional approach yielded a moderate 91.1 bu/ac and received 83 lbs Ammonium Sulfate + 84 lbs/ac Urea followed by 28 gal/ac 28% at the flag leaf stage. Control received 5 gal/ac of Alpine 6-24-6 in-furrow + Talc USA 80/20 Talc on seed + 26 gal/ac AgroLiquid High NRG-N at 6 leaf stage. Treatment received: AgroLiquid 2.5 gal/ac Pro-Germinator, 2.5 gal/ac Kalibrate, 0.5 gal/ac Micro500 in-furrow + Talc USA MicroSurge Dry Corn Inoculant with 80/20 Talc on seed + 26 gal/ac AgroLiquid High NRG-N at 6 leaf stage. ... Differences are: Height: 78" vs. 64.5" (Control) Leaf Stage: 8.5 leaf vs. 7.5 leaf (Control) Roots-pictures speak for themselves. Do your thing girlfriend! No aphid sightings in this field so far but glad beneficials are there. Ladybugs are capable of consuming up to 50 to 60 aphids per day but will also eat a variety of other insects.
